Kevin utilized vastly different methods to achieve his victories. In 2012, Kevin used the "make your own weapon" policy to craft a weapon that was no match for any other weapon in both length and strength. In fact, Kevin's weaponry was so proficient that the RWHG weapon system changed several weeks later.
In 2014, Kevin didn't even need a weapon. He was able to avoid all confrontation by utilizing his survival skills and arena knowledge. Additionally, several large alliances were unable to overcome their own complacency to focus on killing Kevin while the sun still shined. Once darkness fell, it was quite clear who would become the victor.
Kevin will surely test the physical and mental strength of opposing tributes in this year's Hunger Games.
